Morghew Park Estate (The Potato Shop)
Morghew Park covers almost two-thousand acres, utilising numerous ecosystems and habitats to promote biodiversity and resilience. Morghew are famous for their unusual potato varieties, such as Mayan Gold, Pink Gypsy, Shetland Black, Vitelotte, Yukon Gold, La Ratte, Red Emmalie and Pink Fir Apple.
They drill seed potatoes and do not till their soil beyond harvest. With the land they have at their disposal they are able to allow long rest periods and apply various rotation crops to the land including green manures, catch crops, and as part of their new wildlife stewardship program, various wild flower and herbal lays to encourage wildlife and support native breeds.
